We are Matt and Lou Hardy, a husband and wife team from Oxton, on the Wirral Peninsula. Hardy’s Events and Catering is more than just a business for us – it is our passion project. It neatly combines our love of fine food and the joy we get making people happy.

Nothing gets the heart pumping and the emotions swelling like a good party, be it a wedding, a birthday, an engagement, or anything else. Having your friends and family around you to celebrate your big day is an amazing feeling, and we’re always happy to play our small part in that.

LOU

I was born in Cheshire before moving down to London for several years. While I was there, I worked as both a bar and a restaurant manager, before moving into Business Development, where I worked for my dad for the next 13 years.

My experience in the corporate world has helped us to grow our business successfully, which means we can continue doing what we love. It’s a genuine privilege to be able to spend your professional life making other people happy with something that you’re good at.

Matt and I are both passionate about good food and good times, and that’s something our customers appreciate about us. We offer more than just a meal – we deliver an experience that’s second to none.

MATT

I’ve always loved good quality food. Even when I worked as a panel beater for thirteen years, my passion for cooking continued to grow until, at one point, I couldn’t ignore it. I got myself a position in a restaurant, eventually working my way up to head chef, and I’ve never looked back since.

I’m a largely self-taught chef and I believe that incredible food comes from the heart. I’m all about marrying flavours and smells, colours and textures.

That’s why I love creating menus for our clients from scratch. They can give me a couple of ingredients they like and I can whip up something unique to them, something that holds a special meaning. It gives me a buzz to know that my food will make them and their guests so happy at their big event.

Our outside catering business has grown from strength to strength in the last year, and the range and variety of events we cater for has lead us to some really exciting opportunities. Weddings, Corporate Events, Private Parties, Festivals, Food Fayres and Private Dining Experiences – we’ve loved them all. We offer a full catering service from sit down three course dining, Canapés, BBQs, picnics & Banquets…and pretty much everything in between. We are also licensed so are able to offer you a bar service in addition to the food.
